With closets full of clutter and some family members miles away, the task of transition can seem staggering. Having an “outside” coordinator relieves the burden of managing an emotional move and gives families support during the transition.

When Becky moved her mother from the family home, Becky’s experience with previous clients gave her the skills for the practical side of supervising the move. This also provided an understanding of how difficult and overwhelming it can be for families when helping a loved one in
transition.

Associates at Transitions KC have over 20 years experience serving clients. This includes assisting in projects where several family members are involved and paying close attention to their emotional well being. Listening, coordinating, and offering counsel in a sensitive situation is critical to making a new home feel comfortable and familiar.

As a general member of the National Association of Senior Move Managers (NASMM), we are committed to maximizing the dignity and autonomy of active, older adults, by assisting families with the physical and sensitive aspects of a transitional move.
